Closed areas: Gibberagong boardwalk closed
Gibberagong boardwalk is closed from Tuesday 6 April to the end of October 2021 while the boardwalk is replaced.
Signage and security fencing will be in placed around closed areas.

Other planned events: Bobbin Head partial power outage
Parts of Bobbin Head will be affected by a power outage on Wednesday 22 September 2021 for urgent works to the powerline network.
The power outage is expected to last a few hours and will impact the Bobbin Inn Cafe and Bobbin Head Information Centre.

Closed areas: The Basin campground and picnic area closed
The Basin campground and picnic area are closed until Monday 1 November 2021 for maintenance. The Basin Engravings and Mackerel service trails are accessible. The Basin trail is closed past the Mackerel service trail intersection.

Centre trail is closed for upgrade works from Monday 24 May to Friday 1 October 2021.

Kalkari Discovery Centre is closed from Saturday 19 June 2021 until further notice to protect the health and safety of our volunteers, visitors and staff, in-line with current NSW Health orders.

West Head lookout is open to visitors, and temporary fencing has been installed at the lookout for public safety. Upgrades will take place in 2021-2022.
Please do not enter the fenced area.

Other planned events: Notice of pest control program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between Sunday 1 August 2021 and Monday 31 January 2022 in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

Closed areas: Mount Ku-ring-gai track to Berowra Station closure
The Whale Platform elevated walkway on Mt Ku-ring-gai walking track is closed due to serious safety concerns.
The platform will be barricaded and signage in place. No access will be permitted across the platform.

Other planned events: Orchard Park shelter restoration
The shelters in Orchard Park at Bobbin Head will be undergoing restoration works from Monday 26 April 2021 until mid July 2021. 
Signage and security fencing will be erected around closed shelters as they are are progressively repaired. Not all shelters will be closed at once, so you can use the remaining shelters while construction works are completed.
