The campsite is about 40km east of Walcha. Follow the Oxley Highway for about 19km past the Apsley turnoff, then follow the unpaved road for 6km to the campsite.

You will need a permit and key from Walcha NPWS. The campsite is within the Macleay Gorge Wilderness Area, and it's remoteness has helped protect it's beauty. Plenty of water activities and strolling can be enjoyed in the area.
