The lookout at North Tura is not far from the car park and is well placed above the heath. From the end of this short walk you can see up and down the remote beach, both to the north and south, although views are limited by some taller vegetation. Bournda Island can also be clearly seen to the north. There is a toilet near the car park and the side trip leads down to some picnic tables with natural shade.

From the gravel Nth Tura car park(at the end of N Tura Rd, Bournda), this walk heads between the timber bollardstowards the beach along the crushed gravel path. The wide path then leads past the toilet(on your left), past the 'Welcome to North Tura Beach' sign[1] to veer to the right and come to an intersection with a timber 'North Tura Beach' sign[2].

Turn sharp left: From the intersection, this walk follows the 'Walking tracks' arrow[3] along the wide gravel path keeping the car park to the left. The path leads behind the large 'Welcome to North Tura Beach' information sign[4], and toilet(on your left) to lead gently downhill alongside the timber fence to come to an intersection with two picnic tables(on your left). The intersection is marked with a 'North Tura Beach' sign[5]. At the end of this side trip, retrace your steps back to the main walk then Turn left.

Continue straight: From the intersection, this walk follows the 'Viewing Platform' sign[6], towards the lookout. The walk leads along the gravel path, around the timber bollard[7] then up the fiberglass ramp (1.5m wide), keeping a timber fence either side.

North Tura Beach Lookout is between Tathra and Merimbula in Bournda National Park. The lookout platform (4.6x4.6m) has stunning views[8] over North Tura Beach, all the way south to Tura Headland[9] and out to sea. The lookout is also a perfect viewing point for Turingal Head[10] and Bournda Island. The fence[11] is 91cm high and the ramp leading up is 1.5m wide[12].

North Tura Beach is located north of Merimbula and Tura Heads. The beach is a beautiful expanse of sand of nearly 2.5km, stretching from Tura Heads to Bournda Island in the north. North Tura is an easterly-facing beach which is accessed by Widgeram Rd off the Sapphire Coast Drive.

A large gravel carpark with no formally marked parking bays. The ground is well packed and drains quickly after rain.

Timber bollards at end of carpark. Gap of 1.3m (0.5m high) provides access to picnic area, toilet and walking tracks.

Unisex single pit toilet. Entrance is 90cm wide, toilet seat 38cm high (57cm to back wall). Simple handrail is 82cm high. Floor space is about 110cm by 230cm. A 4cm step into the toilet. Tap (no basin) outside 74cm from ground.

4 Picnic Table (18m)

Two timber slat picnic table and bench seats. The table is 78cm high, 91cm deep and 2.1m wide. The seats are 42cm high, 29cm deep and 2.1m wide (no backrest). The table is on paved area.
