Scripture Union Bushwalkers A member of The Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs NSW - www.bushwalking.org.au Scripture Union Bushwalkers was formed in 1974 by people involved with Scripture Union who had a shared enjoyment of bushwalking. We aim to provide opportunities for both members and visitors to enjoy Christian fellowship in a bushwalking context. Activities are organised throughout the year, consisting of bushwalks of varying grades and occasional social activities.
Bushwalks Bushwalks of various grades are led throughout the year. Lilo trips are also occasionally led through canyons during summer. If you are interested in finding out more about our club then why not come on a bushwalk as a visitor. Visitors are welcome on up to 3 activities per financial year and will be covered by both our personal accident and public liability insurance policies. Please note that both members and visitors are required to sign a risk waiver form prior to participating in a club bushwalk or similar activity. Children are also welcome to attend suitable club activities provided they are under the care of a responsible adult as per our child protection policy. In order to minimise our impact on the environment we expect all participants on our bushwalks to abide by the Bushwalkers Code that has been developed by the Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs NSW Inc. Click here to view the walks programme for October-November 2008 Membership Prospective membership is available to any visitor over 18 years of age who intends to become a full member and commences when the relevant declarations are signed. These two declaration forms can be provided upon request. A prospective member may participate in as many activities as they like and are fully covered by our insurance policies. Once a prospective member has participated in 3 activities they are automatically considered as an applicant for full membership at the next committee meeting. Associate membership is available to any person under 18 who is nominated by a full member or life member of the club and whose parent or guardian completes and signs the relevant declarations. A membership fee is payable within 30 days of the committee giving formal approval to an application for either full or associate membership. The current membership fees are shown below.
