Access to Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds is dependent on Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Forestry Corporation road infrastructure.
Information on the trafficability of these roads can be found here:
McPhillips Road is presently closed by Clarence Valley Council due to damaged bridge infrastructure.
Visitors will need high clearance 4WD capable vehicles to access Pebbly Beach and Station Creek campgrounds, which require water crossings. The suitability of these crossings may be variable and can change quickly dependent on local rainfall/tidal conditions.
Closed areas: Wilsons Headland walking track part closure
Wilsons Headland walking track will be closed between Boorkoom campground and Wilsons Headland from Sunday 21 February to Saturday 15 May 2021. The closure is to enable walking track upgrades.

Other planned events: Short closures – Bosches Waterhole and Candole Forest Roads
Road maintenance work is underway on Bosches Waterhole and Candole Forest Roads. Expect heavy machinery and short term road closures on these roads. NPWS staff will be on site.
These works include grading and roadside vegetation trimming.
Other planned events: 1080 wild dog and fox pest management program underway
NSW National Parks is monitoring wild dogs and foxes and running a 1080 pest management program. Baiting is happening in Yuraygir National Park from Wednesday 1 July 2020 until Wednesday 30 June 2021.
There will be signs at baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks. Pets and working dogs may be affected, and 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
These programs are run to protect threatened species identified in the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan and Saving our Species programs.
We encourage landholders to participate in control programs on private property. Contact North Coast Local Land Services to discuss and arrange programs. Delays may occur due to unsuitable weather conditions.
NPWS may also run additional programs following these initial programs, depending on wild dog activity.
