we stumbled upon Ngarigo after finding too many people at Thredbo Diggings and deciding, after almost reaching Thredbo, that Tom Groggin was just too far to drive at 8pm on a rainy, summer's evening.

the camp site is pretty large and open, we only had one other camper and about 3 or 4 vans. There was enough space for us all to spread out and have quite a bit of privacy.

we put our tent right on the Thredbo River, listening to it bubble away through the night while the rain continued to fall.

the toilet was super clean and while wet, the picnic tables were handy. we didn't use the pit fires (buy a Trangia and leave the wood in the forest).

we were the last ones to leave in the morning, watching the mist and fog Posted imagePosted imagePosted imagepour out of the mountains on either side of the river valley. beautiful.
