Getting there
The campsite is accessible by all weather unsealed roads suitable for 2wd vehicles
120.3 km NW of Sydney
GPS: Latitude 33° 10′ 23.592"S Longitude 150° 14′ 22.74"E
The road to Newnes is signposted from Wolgan Rd near Lithgow.

General Information
You can park a trailer, or a tent in this campground - but no caravans
There are a total of 80 campsites
This is a popular camping area (esp in holidays). There are mining ruins to explore and a walk to the glow worm tunnel. You can treat the creek water for drinking.

:0 wonderful drive in to a spacious and scenic camp site. Interesting walk around the shale oil processing ruins, and if your up to it the glow worm tunnel.

Hi Adrian
Sorry pets are not allowed in National Parks (with a few exceptions such as guide dogs). You can learn more about why, here
