Great North Walk

The Great North walk is one of the best known long distance walks in NSW. Download your free tracknotes and topographical maps of the whole walk here (see links below). The track was formally established in 1988 as a bicentennial project and is now managed by the NSW Lands Department. The whole walk stretches from the City of Sydney to Newcastle. The walk travels through a variety of environments from public roads, National Parks, State Forests, and private farm land. The walk is generally well signposted and follows a clear and maintain track.
There are many ways of exploring the Great North Walk. Please use the following links to find details on your preferred option.
