This walk goes from Gordon, to Roseville station, using the Riverside Walking Track. From DeBurghs Bridge, the walk follows the western bank of the Lane Cove River, passing many picnic areas and the Lane Cove River Boat Shed. The scenic walk along the Lane Cove River provides plenty of opportunities for a picnic or to kick the ball around before heading up to Roseville Station.

From Gordon Station bus depot, this walk heads up the hill of St Johns Ave to the Pacific Highway. The walk crosses to the other side at the pedestrian crossing. From here, this walk follows the shop fronts up the Pacific Highway, then turns left onto Moree St. This street is followed until the walk turns right onto Vale St. This walk continues along Vale St for a short time to the intersection with the bush track on the left of the street.

From the intersection, this walk heads down the hill, passing a concrete sewerage inspection hole on the right. The trail continues along the creek line for another 20m, to the intersection which leads down to the creek on the right. From the intersection, this walk follows the creek downstream for approximately 200m to the signposted intersection. From the intersection, this walk follows the left-hand arrow on the 'Blackbutt Creek Track' sign, down the hill. The track contours with the creek on the right, and the houses high on the left, for approximately 1km to then steeply descend to the intersection above the concreted water-crossing. From the intersection, this walk heads down the hill, across the concrete watercourse, to turn right along the creek. The trail tends left away from the creek, up to a white gate.

The track passes through picnic area '18 Korong' to the other side of its grass clearing, where the bush track starts. From the clearing, this walk follows the bush track around the Lane Cove River bank, keeping the river on the left, for approximately 400m to the picnic area '13 Cottonwood Glen'. From the edge of the bush, this walk passes through the clearing and over a small bridge. The walk continues through a cul-de-sac to return to bush track. The track then follows the river bank for approximately 200m to another grassed picnic area, Carters Creek.

The walk winds through the bushes to pass a stone seat on the left before crossing the entrance road to the Lane Cove National Park. From the bus stop, this walk heads across Fullers Bridge to the pedestrian crossing on the other side.

This walk turns right and soon crosses the highway at the light-controlled pedestrian crossing, and continues straight ahead to Roseville Railway Station.
