Euroka Campground - Darug	Alt = m
The Darug (sometimes labeled Daruk) campsite is found the Euroka Clearing, in the Glenbrook region of the Blue Mountains National Park. There are about 20 camping spaces to choose from in this area. Tap water is available at the park entrance. The campsite has a wheelchair-accessible toilet (access over grassy terrain) and a few metal fireplaces. The campsite is surrounded by large gum trees and is right at the base of a steep hill to the north.

(0 km) Top of Darug campsite car park to Darug and Bennetts Ridge Bridge clearing Walk: Easy - bushtrack	Length = 149 m	Time = 2 mins

From the Darug campsite car park, this walk heads around the gate and through the campsite. Tending to the right, this walk follows the fence line past the 'please use walkway' sign, down the wide trail and across the metal bridge. On the other side of the bridge, the walk comes to an intersection in a grassing clearing.

(0.15 km) Darug and Bennetts Ridge Bridge clearing to Int of Nepean River and Euroka Creek tracks Track: Moderate - bushtrack	Length = 806 m	Time = 18 mins
	Climb = 37 m	Descent = -36 m
Continue straight: From the intersection and clearing, this walk follows the 'Nepean River' sign across the flat grassy area (keeping the creek to the left). At the other end of the clearing, the walk follows the track up and then down a few steps as it follows the creek edge. The track gently winds its way up and around the hill, crossing a few timber platforms (small bridges) and passing some old wire fences. As the walk progress, the gully on the left becomes much deeper. The track soon heads down some steps and bends right, providing some glimpses down to the Nepean River. Just after this bend, the walk comes to a 'Y' intersection (and a sign pointing to the 'Nepean River').

(0.96 km) Int of Nepean River and Euroka Creek tracks to Junction of Nepean River and Euroka Creek Track: Hard - bushtrack	Length = 253 m	Time = 7 mins
	Climb = 3 m	Descent = -59 m
Turn left: From the intersection, this walk heads down the steps, following the 'Nepean River' sign. Next, the track crosses a small timber bridge before stepping down the rocks on a sharp left-hand bend and crossing another timber bridge. The walk continues down more steps and through a weedy section of bush, then into a small gully. The clear track heads through this gully to the bank of the Nepean River (just a few metres from Euroka Creek, on the left).

Junction of Nepean River and Euroka Creek	Alt = 21 m
At the bottom of the Euroka-Nepean River Track there is a small clearing on the bank of the Nepean River. The eroded clearing is just a few meters south of where the Euroka Creek drains into the Nepean. This is a great spot to enjoy the river and watch the boats go by. Some people use this spot to access the Nepean for a swim, although care would be needed.

(1.21 km) Junction of Nepean River and Euroka Creek to Int of Nepean River track and Bennetts Ridge trail Track: Hard - bushtrack	Length = 572 m	Time = 16 mins
	Climb = 104 m	Descent = -7 m
Turn around: From the Nepean River, this walk follows the clear track up through the gully, ducking under the tree. The track climbs the steps and heads through a weedy section of bush. Soon after crossing a small wooden bridge, the walk steps up the rocks on the sharp right-hand bend, then crosses another small wooden bridge. After this bend, the track heads up more stairs to come to a 'T' intersection and a sign pointing back down to the 'Nepean River'. Veer left: From the intersection, this walk heads up the steps following the 'Euroka Via Bennetts Ridge' sign. As the track winds up the hill, it passes a couple more 'Euroka Via Bennetts Ridge' signs. Soon after passing a rock platform, the track comes to a turning circle at the end of an old management trail (with a sign pointing back down to the 'Nepean River'). From here, the walk follows the old management trail gently up the hill for about 80m, coming to a 'T' intersection with the signposted 'Bennetts Ridge Fire Trail'.

(1.78 km) Int of Nepean River track and Bennetts Ridge trail to Bennetts Ridge campsite Walk: Easy - servicetrail	Length = 655 m	Time = 12 mins
	Climb = 7 m	Descent = -29 m
Veer right: From the intersection, this walk follows the 'Bennetts Ridge Fire Trail - Euroka' sign gently uphill along the wide management trail. The walk gently winds through the bush for a while along this trail. Soon after passing a 'gate' sign, the walk heads around the gate and comes to the car park for Bennetts Ridge campsite.

Euroka Campground - Bennetts Ridge	Alt = m
The Bennetts Ridge campsite is found on the southern side of the Euroka Clearing, in the Glenbrook region of the Blue Mountains National Park. There are about 30 camping spaces to choose from in this area. Tap water is available at the park entrance. The campsite has a wheelchair-accessible toilet (access over grassy and hilly terrain) and a several metal fireplaces. The campsite is has many large gum trees and is next to the larger Bennetts Ridge day use area clearing.

(2.44 km) Bennetts Ridge campsite to Top of Darug campsite car park Walk: Easy - bushtrack	Length = 362 m	Time = 6 mins
	Climb = 5 m	Descent = -19 m
Turn right: From the car park, this walk heads across the signposted 'Bennetts Ridge - day use only' area. The walk makes its way down the hill across this clearing, tending to the left. Keeping the creek and fence on the left, the walk continues until coming to the lower clearing and an intersection with the bridge on the left (and a sign pointing right, to the 'Nepean River'). Turn left: From the clearing, this walk crosses the bridge and follows the wide track up the hill to Darug campsite. The walk continues through the campsite and around the gate, coming to the car park on the high side of the campsite.

Attracting over 3 million visitors annually, Blue Mountains National Park holds some of Australia's most spectacular and diverse wilderness areas. Explore the Grose Valley, with its sheer sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and scenic walking, or enjoy the famous views of the Three Sisters. Easy access makes a day trips very worthwhile, but with such diversity it would be great to stay in one of the many B&B's and spend a few days soaking up the region.

CLOSED AREAS
Attention: helicopter operation affecting Katoomba walking tracks postponed till Wed 22 May
The following walking tracks in the Katoomba area will be closed on Wednesday 22 May 2013 due to helicopter lifting in the new replacement for Honeymoon Bridge:-

• Federal Pass (from Katoomba Falls [Cook’s Crossing] to intersection with Dardanelles Pass below Leura.
• Federal Pass from Golden Stairs intersection, below Narrow Neck, to the Scenic Railway bottom station.
• Giant Stairs
• Dardanelles

There will be no access to the top of the Three Sisters, beyond the Prince Henry Cliff Walk junction.
Glenraphael Drive at Narrow Neck will also be closed at the national park boundary – 1.5km from Cliff Drive. There will be no access to Narrow Neck for vehicles or pedestrians.
Access to and from Scenic World will be open via Furber Steps. For further information please call 02 4787 8877.

Breakfast Point Lookout at Wentworth Falls is closed until further notice.
Campsites at Euroka - Euroka campground
Darug campsite now closed until further notice for maintenance and upgrade. Camping is available at other sites at Euroka Campground. For bookings you can book online or call 1300 072 757. For group bookings over 6 and to speak to the local Area office please call 02 4588 2400 Monday to Friday.
Claustral Canyon access change
Access to Claustral Canyon via the usual route across private land at Mount Tomah is no longer possible due to landholders denying access. NPWS has sought alternative access through private land without success.  Canyoners should respect the rights of Mount Tomah residents and avoid using private land.
Alternative access and parking from the west side of Mt Bell has been approved. For details please contact the NPWS Heritage Centre, phone 02 4787 8877; open seven days 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
Glenbrook precinct has re-opened
Access to Jellybean Pool via the road and the walking track is now open. Euroka walking track remains closed as does Ironbarks Firetrail and Portal Waterhole precinct.
Honeymoon Bridge, Three Sisters, Katoomba - works occurring from Monday 29 April till early June
NPWS will be starting work to replace the Honeymoon bridge at the Three Sisters on Monday 29 April. Work should be completed by early June.
There will be no access to the bridge during this time.
All walking tracks and other lookouts in the area, including the Giant Stairway, will remain open.  Short term closures for helicopter operations during the work will be advised.

Ingar camping areas - Ingar campground
Vehicle access along Ingar Road may be closed at the end of Queen Elizabeth Drive while private property development works are underway. NPWS requests that visitors respect private property closures.
When the gate is closed Ingar Camping Area will remain open to walkers who access around the private property. Walking distance approximately 13kms.
Murphys Glen camping area closed - Murphys Glen campground
Murphys Glen is closed due to road damage and facilities maintenance.
Wentworth Falls walking tracks
The Undercliff and Overcliff tracks are closed between Princes Rock access and Lyrebird Lookout due to recent landslides. This means visitors doing the National or Wentworth Pass loops will need to return via the Shortcut Track.
The Den Fenella walking track will be closed 7 days per week during upgrade work which commenced 31 January 2013. The Den Fenella lookout remains closed due to structural damage on the bridge.

HAZARD REDUCTION BURNS
Hazard reduction burn
Wild Dog Mountains - CLOSED
All walking routes in the Wild Dog Mountains will remain closed until further notice while hazard reduction burning operations are current. The W7 or Cedarland Ridge Rd from Green Gully to Medlow Gap will be re-opened on Monday 13 May 2013.
Anyone intending to walk in Wild Dogs during May should check the national parks website prior to setting off for any updates regarding affected areas. View a map of the hazard reduction burn planned for the Wild Dogs area (PDF 259KB).
Hazard reduction burn
An aerially ignited prescribed burn will be undertaken along the Gingra Range in Kanangra-Boyd National Park between Friday 17 and Monday 20 May 2013. Walkers are advised to avoid this area during these dates.
