Bridal Veil View Lookout Leura

This short walk starts on cliff Drive, near Olympian Prd in Leura and heads out to Bridal View Lookout. The notes also describe a side trip to Tarpeian Rock. Bridal View Lookout is a small fenced lookout at the base of a staircase and provides great views of Bridal Veil falls. The side trip to Tarpian Rock is well worth the small amount of extra time providing great views up the Jamison valley. more...

Start from Solitary Restaurant on cliff drive in Leura, this track heads down to the historic Copelands Lookout. Copelands lookout is a fairly large lookout with a natural sandstone floor and hand build sandstone walls. The lookout provide great views across Jamison Valley. This one way of getting great views whilst missing the hustle and bustle of Echo point. The walk also describes a side trip to the Bridal Veil Lookout where you can see the falls by the same name. more...

Starting from opposite Solitary Restaurant in Leura. The track heads into the bush passing Echo Tree Lookout. The track the follows the Prince Henry track to Federal Pass. After a short walk in the Federal pass track you come to Jamiesons Lookout. Jamiesons Lookout provides a great view across the valley And a park bench there helps you rest and take it in. Carrington Park to Marguerite Cascades

This walk explores the eastern end of Federal Pass track. From Near Carrington Park on Cliff drive the track heads into the bush and starts a steep climb down. On the way the track passes the Jamieson Lookout, Fern Bower and Lila and Linda falls. A couple more stair cases and the track comes to Marguerite Cascades. A side trip down to Laura Forest is also described, this is a nice spot to rest. more...


Silver Mist park to Honey Moon Lookout

This walk follows a section of the Prince Henry Cliff walk parallel of Cliff Drive. Starting from Silver Mist park the track heads straight down to Tallawalla Lookout providing great views up the valley. The track then heads north before turning left and heading up to Honeymoon lookout. A side trip is described to take in more views Banksia Lookout if you are still feeling energetic. This short track starts at Katoomba Falls Park on Cliff Drive. The track heads down to the popular Katoomba Cascades. There is some shade and a bench seat at the base of the falls. There area few spots to enjoy a snack or get the feet wet on a hot day. A side trip mentioned in these notes extends the walk to follow the Kedumba river to where it falls into the valley a few hundred meters below, providing excellent views. more...

This walk starts near Katoomba Kiosk opposite Katoomba Park on Cliff Drive. The walk heads through the bush on a well established track out to Reids Plateau. The loop around Reids Plateau explores several lookouts and the bush through the area. There are a couple of short side trips out to extra lookouts, including one that pass through a natural tunnel. Reids Plateau Picnic area has a few picnic tables, shelter, and a great view making a great spot for a picnic lunch. more...

The walk explores the cliffs and dense vegetation in the area, and enters the Blue Mountains national park to enjoy the views from the Cliff View Lookout. The lookout provide great views up the Kedumba Valley. The walk is well signposted and includes braille signs for people with visual impairments.
