Explorers Tree (Katoomba)
Alt = 1051
In 1813 the explorers Gregory Blaxland, William Wentworth and William Lawson on their historic crossing of the Blue Mountains engraved their names not only into the history books, but also this tree on the side of Pulpit Hill. The tree now caged to minimises further vandalism, marks the start of the Six Foot Track. There has been much debate over the last 100+ years as to the authenticity of the engravings. More info
