Grand Canyon, Cliff Top and Pope's Glen Track

This walk is a fantastic way to see the a large portion of Blackheath which is above the Grose Valley. The walks only major descent and ascent is to head through the Grand Canyon which is an experience in itself, especially if you've never been in a canyon before. The track then continues along the cliff tops with excellent views over the Grose Valley and surrounding cliffs. The vegetation change along these sections is worth keeping an eye out for with areas of drier and wetter foliage dispersed along the track. more...


Perry's Lookdown to Blackheath Station
Time: 2 Days 7 km NE of Blackheath

This walk is similar to the Victoria Falls and Lockleys Pylon walks to Blackheath Station. The walk descends from Perry's Lookodown to climb up past the magnificent Bridal Falls to Govetts Leap Lookout into the famous Glue Bum Forest. The overnight stay in Acacia Flats allows for exploring of the Grose River and the surrounding banks with many little sand bars. Braeside, Govetts and Pope's Glen Track

This walk is an excellent way to see some of Blackheaths best views without having to climbing down and back up from the Grose Valley. The round trip from the station shows off Bridal Falls, and other cascades along with the cliffs. Lockeys Pylon to Blackheath Station
Time: 2 Days 8.2 km ESE of Blackheath
Length: 16.5 km Blue Mountains National Park

If you prefer land formations to waterfalls then this walk is a great alternative to the Victoria Falls to Blackheath Station walk. This walk starts in the low heath and cliff views of Lockleys Pylon. The pylon and other notable features can be seen along the track while the descent down to camp provides plenty of photographic opportunities. The walk out Govetts Leap and Pope's Glen is a notable feature which sees many little cascades and the awesome Bridal Falls. A great short overnight walk. more...


Victoria Falls to Blackheath Station

This is a fantastic overnight walk with a sleep in Acacia Flats camping area. The Grose Valley and its views of the Grose River and surrounding cliffs gives a dramatic backdrop to most of this walk. The climbs up and down the cliffs allows an appreciation of the scale of it all. The walks return to the station allows for an easy return trip, but you will need a lift to the start. more...


Perry's Lookdown to Lockleys Pylon

This walk is quite literally down across the Grose Valley. The track steeply descends from Perry's Lookdown with views of Lockleys Pylon on the opposite side of the valley. It then heads up to Lockleys Pylon with views over Perry's Lookdown. The track has some fantastic views up and down the Grose Valley, and an excellent half way point in the Blue Gum Forest. more...


Victoria Falls and Grose Valley to Blackheath Station
Time: 3 Days 6.9 km N of Blackheath
Length: 22.7 km Blue Mountains National Park

This walk is follows a section of the Grose Valley. Starting above Victoria Falls the walk takes its time exploring the cascades before resting in the valley at Burra Korain. The track then heads down through the valley to the Blue Gum Forest and then onto Acacia Flats for another night. On the last day the walk heads Govetts Creek past Bridal Falls, Govetts Leap and then follows Pope's Glen to the station. This is a magnificent overnight walk allows time to really explore the area. The Victoria Falls and Cascades are a great way to start a walk with their size and ease of access. The campsite of Burra Korain Flats is not as popular as Acacia Flats which will enable you to enjoy the serenity of the Grose Valley. The walk out Pierces Pass is steep with the views allowing the excuse of regular photography when you need to catch your breath. more...


Pierces Pass to Blackheath Station

This walk with explores a section of the Grose River and through the flats around the superb Blue gum forest. The track then climbs up to Govetts Leap Lookout and along Pope's Glen to Blackheath. The hard yakka will be rewarded by some superb views of blue gums, the gorge, waterfalls and cliffs. This walk is one where you'll want to have a friend with a car, they can enjoy some shorter walks or the great cafes in the area. more...


Blackheath Station to Junction Rock Loop (via Grand Canyon and Popes Glen)

This circuit encompasses strolls through the main strip of Blackheath, before heading down the other main strip of the Grand Canyon and Rodriguez Pass. The track sees a wide variety of ecosystems and views across as it descends and ascends the valley and cliffs.
